Frequently asked questions.

What should I bring to a lesson?

Please bring a professionally fitted riding hat or you can hire a hat for £5 (we can’t guarantee it’ll be a perfect fit though).

A professionally fitted hat is safer to ride in than a borrowed one.

We loan hats without charge for all holiday clubs.

Riding gloves because tack is shared.

Our ideal, is you come with a professionally fitted riding hat, gloves, back protector and crop.

As a parent, am I required to stay on site with my child(ren)?

It is a requirement that all children under the age of 16 be accompanied by an adult.

Please keep children with you at all times if under the age of 16 and please refrain from approaching any horse unless with a member of staff.

If you are bringing children with you as spectators they must stay in the specific areas for spectating/waiting and again you must follow our health and safety terms.

Can I bring a dog to the stables?

We kindly request that dogs not be brought to the stables. We love dogs but unfortunately our strict health and safety requirements don’t allow it.

What is the Academy’s cancellation policy?

Lessons can be rescheduled with 48 hours notice via the “Reschedule Button” on your reminder message. No refunds are given once booked. If a lesson is cancelled with 48 hours notice, the rider will receive credit to rebook. If notice given is less than the required 48 hours we are not permitted to offer a refund.

Is parking available at the Academy?

We do have ample parking at the academy but at times we can be busier than others. We kindly ask that if it seems too busy too be able to park safely and considerably to please park cars at the side of road (please do not park at the side of the driveway to the stables). We also ask that you do not park any vehicles blocking access to the horses stables themselves.
